A common enough question, Steve. The fuel line from the engine driven
pump has a restrictor on it that should
keep the header from becoming too full.
What direction does the fuel flow....from which wing tank to the header,
It varies from plane to plane. The ERCO factory made changes as did
subsequent certificate holders.
Plus fifty-plus years of mods. I like to think of it flowing out of the T
between the tanks, and back to
another T between the tanks.
and back to which wing tank? Is wing tank removal a difficult job?
The wing tank is not hard to remove. Just Drain It First! Take out the
pipes, then undo all the screws.
Geoff Roberts and I took my leaking left one out last year. Scraped the
"Sloshing Compound" out of
it and put it back together last year.
You should get plenty of good questions. Tell Wilbur Eck I said 'hi.'
