I saw a guy land at our airport and he had the worst clutter you could
immagine.
He had two headsets with two velcro type PTT buttons, a Compaq GPS with
it's
power cord, antenna and other interconnecting cables, he had a laptop on
the
seat, a cell phone with power cord and connection to the comm panel and a
CD
player also connected to something. A backup handheld comm radio with more

cables was clipped onto the dash on the co-pilot's side where the co-pilot

sat with the laptop. He was in such a tangle, if his plane had caught on
fire
on the ground they would have roasted like a pig.
I HATE CLUTTER!
I do not like getting into tangles with cables, maps, power cords, etc
when I
am flying or driving.
I said to myself, I am smarter than shit!, I can fix this problem.
My GPS is panel mounted.
My CD palyer is at home. My cell phone is turned off and in the baggage
compartment.
I have made a neat PTT button that is mounted on my ramshorn type yoke.
It allows me to run the cables through the control tube to the back of the

instrument panel and eliminates the clutter of the velcro PTT and cables
dangling between the yoke and the dashboard.
I hate clutter.
The button is mounted on a clear acrilic base that attaches to the back of

the pink ramshorn cover by using longer screws. No holes are made in the
original ramshorn covers. The cabling is all contained. The PTT button is
offset to the side and easy to operate. It does not interfere with the
instrument panel and is all reversible, which means if you change your
mind
one day, it can be removed and leave no traces or holes or damage. I have
mine combined with a red led on the dash that indicates transmit. The LED
can
also be mounted on the yoke. I already had a hole on the dash so it helped

fill the hole.
It can be made 2 wire or 4 wire depending on the type of radio harness you

have.

If you are interested, let me know and I can send you pictures, diagrams
or
make one or two for you.
Sorry, I did not take any pictures of the "pigs to be roasted"
