It is not much help now, but I Xerox my log book every so often to keep backup copies. I started doing this after my car got broken into and my flight bag was stolen 15 years ago. Luckily I was still a student pilot and could use my receipts for rental and instruction to reconstruct most of my flights. I would suggest getting a copy of your last medical application to get the number of hours up to that point. I'm a 2nd year private pilot, 2nd month owner of a 415-D, and a 2nd time victom of a T-Hangar break in. Lock and chain gone , and padlock gone 2nd time. First time, misc hangar junk missing; extension cord, overhead light sitting in the corner w/empty box, staple gun, small plastic tray. This time, coupe stuff missing, ie; both seats, bag and two headsets, and a small flight bag with misc charts, airport directory, emergency kit, small flashlight, and my "pilot log book" . Sympathy not requested, but now that I need two seats, whats your thoughts on replacing them, if available, and where can i get them, cost and such? or putting in different seats; 150's or other???? Comments welcome, any ideas on the pilot log book?
