Since the process for balancing a prop requires running the engine up and then placing the weights and running it up again this is not something I suspect the rebuilder would not approve of. I suspect that if you are interested in the rings seating properly I would suggest you break the engine in first then balance the prop. If your engine is that far out of balance that it will damage it without balancing the prop I would suggest you tear it back down and do a proper rebuild.
