Hello, Merry Christmas and Happy New Year. I know the Christmas wish is a little late, but I was gone.
Been a great year for coupes and the list. I've really enjoyed the list and made some great friends in the process. My coupe is still broken. Found a crank in one of the hangers here. It had been there for years. Just have to look for them sometimes. My oil leaks were due to a bad overhaul. The string gasket, that goes between the two engine halves, was placed on the outside of the bolts. The gasket didn't leak, but all the bolt holes did. It will be right this time. The folks at Tusquitte International will be having a New Years Day Fly In. There will be standard Southern New Years food. That will be Black Eyed Peas, Corn Bread, Collards and Hawg Jowls. For you non Southern Folks, (Yankees we call em), we will also be having soup. Now you may also like to know where is Tusquitte International. Take a left at Atlanta and right at the first trailer park. Seriously: It is a 3,000 foot grass strip at Hayesville, NC. Find 6A3, Andrews NC, on your chart and look a little south. The strip runs East, to West with a standard landing from the East, (you should enter the valley from the West). Contact the Control Tower on 122.775 - that will be Jimmy. Landing from the West - is okay if the wind is light. Hope some of you can make it. The field is great and the flying is even better. Just keep a eye out for our FBI agents. They are up in the mountains playing, we don't want to get in their way. Choppers and Coupes don't mix well. Jack 99069
