So what do you do in a crosswind with Ercoupes, do you flare as much as 
you can to slow it down, or do you try to land fast?  Or is it somewhere 
in the middle?

Dad proposed to Mom in an Ercoupe, and then had trouble landing
afterwards.
Mom says it took him about five tries before he got it down.  Since he was

a longtime taildragger pilot, I'm assuming he had trouble accepting the 
fact that it was going to touch down in a crab.  He said there 
were about ten guys watching him, too.  This was in about 1948.
