When I bought my Coupe it had some mild dents in the tail section, on one
side, just below the leading edge of the stab. I have been assured that
the
dents are nothing to worry about (they are slight) by several mechanics
including John Wright and his son. I read in the Ercoupe book of Memos and
Bulletins that item #65 refers to this as a sort of common problem that
can be
repaired by following "blueprint RM52-1" using some standard extrusion.
Does
anyone know anything about this and what should I look for to see it the
repairs were done to the RM52 specifications? The stab is ridgid and I
can't
flex the skin in the rear but I still feel a bit nervous about the dents
despite the assurances.
