Mainly handling on contact with ground. The Ercoupe has not got the Cessna options - Flaps, rudder. So it hast to adhear to the runway when it hits. The nose down (low/negitive angle of attack) does this. For STOL, short or soft field use, you may want to use conventional gear. Also land into the wind or keep the wind down or directly down the runway! Percy in Portland
