BTW, my comments about everyone should get manuals was not ment to stop the flow of questions....I will be happy to attempt answers to any and all questions about Coupes - or try to find information. You may not agree with my conclusions, but that is OK, too. If it stimulates additional questions and thoughts, then we all will benefit. We have a unique airplane and story in the Ercoupe, and Fred Weick. The real value of this list , to me, is the learning from each other the quirks and specific things that differentiate Coupes from other airplanes ----and sharing them with interested folks.......
