Has anyone got a simple cure for a "weeping" gas tank rivet? My wing tanks appear to have been repaired at some time in the distant past using Cherrymax's (which I believe is legal). One rivet continues to weep even though the tank has been thoroughly cleaned with MEK and "sloshed" twice.
The guy who did the sloshing wants to cut an access hole in
the rear and put in real rivets, then gasket a new cover in
place. Sounds like open-heart surgery to fix a cut finger.
Has anyone else fixed a problem like this?
