Thanks everyone for your zippy replies. Its good to know that i'm not going batty with the mixture control not killing the engine. Tomotrrow I am going to try cleaning the mixture control per Harry's instructions, then leave the carb alone. Appreciate all the comments. Safe landings, Rob
