LAS, I have an Alon and I recently put in a IImorrow SL-40 and a Garmin 320 Xponder with encoder. They are both too long to fit on the top of the Panel, but fit nice together at the bottom. I hope to put another radio/gps com, or gps screen above the radio and xponder in the future. It worked out good for me and I really like the IImorrow. Collins makes a shorter Xponder and Garmin makes a shorter radio that could be set up high (I think), but the low position for me has worked out ok.
