And removing the paint takes off some of the aluminium. One must remember that the Dural covering our fleet ships of the sky is an aluminium alloy. It is coated with pure aluminium as a "sacrafice oxidation protection" layer. It oxydizes to keep the under part strong. Polish removes this, so don't polish too much. Percy
