May 22, 1999, looks like as good a shot as any. I am sending this out
over the coupers mailing list to keep them in the loop.
I'm sure that many of the Region 3 (Alaska, Washington, Oregon) Ercoupe
(and related types) persons would be interested in your "Ercoupe only"
fly in on that date. Please remember that someone on your staff needs to
co-ordinate with the Boeing Field/SeaTac Approach Control so us
non-xponder
flyers can get in.
Do you have a schedule? I could speak on the design, taking most my
content from "The Ercoupe," by S. Thomas. Maybe we could email Mr. Thomas
and have him on hand to autograph? He's in California, and his publisher
is considering republishing the above book.
How `bout some of Fred Weicks family? His son lives in Eugene, and has
joined the Oregon Ercoupe Erforce.
I would also appreciate a letter to the Coupe Capers, the Ercoupe Owners
Club monthly magazine, as/when things get firmed up. It would have to go
out NO LATER than the end of this year to meet Carolyn Carden's lead time.
