They don't glide very well, but are controlable right down to the ground. Mooney published 6:1 - which is probably as good as it gets.---page 424 of Saletri's Book- The Ercoupe,A Touch of Class, for the 1969 Mooney M-10 Cadet - 1450 gross. A "C" or "CD" model at 1260 lbs. would do better, as would the "D " at 1400 lbs.
