The ceiling on the M10 is 12,500. My husband Steve and I weigh quite a bit less then the two pilots you mentioned. I didn't realize the ceiling on the Alon is higher than on the M10. I don't know how much radio equipment you have in your plane, but we have quite a bit extra equipment. The M10 is IFR equipped. We carry 21.5 gallons of useable fuel. Our plane also has wheelpants that weight about 12 lbs. What is your empty weight on your Alon?

However, our Alon N6596Q , was flowen from here in N.Calif. to Denver, Col. on July 20th. My husband weighs 190 and the other pilot weight is at 205 hubbie, had a months supply of clothes with him other pilot a weeks, there was heavy tools and test equipment in the plane. They, crossed the Rockies at Corona Pass. It topped the Rockies, at 13,500 feet and was still climbing not very fast but still climbing. have picture taken in the cockpit. The density altitude was high, that day also. It has the pants on it we have found it gets about 5 miles an hour in speed and we gained some in gas on it. Audean Woollard N6596@
