A very topical question on Ercoupe ventilation.

I was out in mine last weekend and it was quite warm. But at cruise
with the windows gapped a couple of inches, it was quite pleasent.

Now, There are three styles of openings for the `coupes: two-window,
three-window and sliding. Sliding is the Forney?Alon sliding canopy.
The plane is certified for flight with it slid back, but I have no
experience with that.

The two-window is where the two come together in the middle. They are
also certified for flight when open, but the hole in the top distroys
such lift at the fuselage has. Raises heck w/air speed measurement
unless a specific static port is in the side of the plane.

I have the three-windows; one in the middle and the two sides. Middle
one is green to cut some of the sun. I have ties to adjust (before
flight!) the opening on both sides. I purchased this plane in New
Mexico and flew it to Oregon in August. Sweated more over my (lack
of good) mavigation than from the heat.
