You don't have to enter class B airspace to get to Boeing field (where I'm
based).

You can stay under class B the entire way...true, on pattern on the west
side of the field is 800 feet so that you stay clear of class B at 1100,
but
it's pretty natural to stay low when the 747's are flying right over you!
<grin>

The phone number for Seattle Approach is 206-768-2840. Call them and
explain when you will be coming in, and they will fill out a form and give
you a exemption. When you call up Boeing Tower, just let them know you
have
no mode C and an exemption.

The Museum of Flight is on the west side of the field, and well worth
visiting.

I had to go through all of this the other day as my mode C was inop, but I
wanted to go to a flyin. Hope this helps.

Out of curiosity, do you know why they want Ercoupes to flyin? Are they
doing an exhibit or something?
