Hi Coupers, Went up to The Dalles a couple of weeks ago and picked up Gene Chase's 415D with the O200 engine in it (N2735H). Have been so busy getting my hay in haven't had a chance to fly it enough to do an honest comparison between it and my 85hp 415C (N93775). Just finished the annual on it and did my test flight Sunday to the monthly Coupe fly-in at Albany, Oregon. Bob Saville, who had also just completed the annual on his Coupe, and I flew up as a pair from Walker intergalactic airport which is located betweend Cottage Grove and Cresswell. Believe 5 Coupes and an RV4 showed up plus a couple of members from the local area who drove in. Good meeting with some good pics and feedback from Percy Wood on the recent beginning of the proposed annual Coupe gathering at the Arlington, WA fly-in.
N93775 seemed to be in good form. Needed to hold one wing up a bit, and due to the record 105 degrees recorded in the valley the oil temp went up to about 200, but other than that did the usual wonderful job of magic carpeting. Nevertheless, I can't afford to keep two Coupes so if you know some one who needs a good one, here are the particulars: FOR SALE : N93775 - 1946 415C, 85HP, 2010 TT, 195 SMOH, Fresh Annual, Prop overhauled last October. ELT, DELCOM panel mounted 720 channel radio with 10 watt amplifier, Flightcom intercom. All AD's and service bulletins complied with. Looks good and flies good. $11,750.00 FIRM. Plane has been hangared, but is now tied down at Cottage Grove Airport. If interested, call me (Dan) at (541) 942-2286 Keep Coupes Flying. Dan N9377/N2735H
