I am looking for recommendations for services/people in the San Francisco Bay Area. In particular:
1) Licensed AI who is knows Ercoupes and is willing to work with owners who want to do their own work. I am happy to pay for his/her time for their advice and inspection but I'd like to do alot of my own work. David Miller recommends Vern Miller at Reid Hillview (thanks David!), any others? Especially interested in Palo Alto Airport location. 2) Person to inspect my wings for problems and potentially rebuild them. I know my left wing spar cap is bad, I need someone (an expert) to determine what to do about it and possibly to do the work. 3) Good avionics shop. I have to remove both an old Narco Mark 12 and Genave radio that are under the instrument panel. I don't think they are legal, but more to the point I am 6'3" and absolutely cannot fit in the aircraft with those giant radios where my right leg has to be. I would like to do as much of the removal and installation of some replacement units as the shop will allow. Suggestions? Matt Blake 1946 Ercoupe N2921H
