Coupers: Just returned from a "great" drive over this country.
While passing thru Birmingham I saw a poster for
the Southern Museum of Aviation. On the poster
was a picture of a Ercoupe. Well there's not
many places I won't go to see a Ercoupe.
So after much travel up I-59 I located the museum.
Sure enough there at the center of their display was
a 1959 Ercoupe. 450 hours TT. In excellent
condition. I located one of the museum folks,
explained that I had a coupe and want to get a
little closer to their's, behind the ropes.
They gave me full run of the plane. It is
a must see. Best coupe I've ever seen, I've
not seen a lot, but this one is a show stopper.
If you are in the Birmingham area, stop in and
give it a look over.
