Howdy, List. Went up Sunday. Just a simple flight to look at an air field I had visited by car the prior Sunday. Landed at Troutdale for reasons: * Old times sake - took primary training and soloed outa there * Work with a control tower - keeps me on my toes Then to Evergreen for gas. When I pulled up to the pump, a fellow came up to he `coupe and said "What an unusual plane. I have never seen one like it before." Seems he was new to aviation. Had taken the intro flight the month before, and was now doing lessons. He said "Mind if I ask a few questions?" I said "Sure, but I'll talk your ear off!" So I spent a most pleasent time getting gas and talking `bout our favorite twin-tailed tiger. The FBOs' Cub parked for gas, so I pointed out some of the differences. We talked over good aviation practices, like knowing how much fuel one has on board in flight time, and not trusting fuel gages. Of course, the salient difference of no separate rudder control came up. Now, I find this to be the easiest way to pay back aviation. Just talking how much fun it is. I hope I get the opportunity and privilige to do it again. Highly recommended. Percy in Portland
