John< Please do not quit posting now. I joined this forum because I found a attraction for a unique looking plane that I saw at the airport on the day of my second lesson.I asked my instructor what it was and she said, that is an ercoupe, they are small slow cheap and generally undesireable, pay attention to what you are learning.(she is partners in a T-28) 6 years later I finally found the owner of a differant ercoupe to give me a ride and knew I would own one someday. I have learned an immense amount from the members of this forum. I print up all the technical stuff and keep it in a binder, and one day when I find my Ercoupe I will be a much safer pilot and have a much safer plane thanx to all who input. I love to hear all the stories and can't wait till I get home from work to click on the computor and read what is waiting for me.(my wife does not have the same plane passion.) So please dont quit writing. And anybody that is ever in the baeutiful Sonoma co. area Ca. is more than welcome to contact me and talk about anything that makes their heart tick. We have an active Air museum here Pacific Coast Air Museum, with about 60 member owned aircraft, and very few of them static displays. Great Food, Excellant wine. And someyear I will make it to the EOC flyins in a coupe, Thanx, Ron Miller
