Coupers: Would like to thank everyone for the posting this week on speed and landings.
Used some of the info that has been sent out last nite. The landing and
speed info
was a big help. Had my best coupe landing ever last nite. Touched down on
the numbers,
rolled a couple hunderd feed and stopped. Had to use power to get to the
taxiway,
didn't need to use breaks.
A IAS of about 75 seems to work best for me. I kept it at 75 all thru
final and
upon entering ground effect dropped to 65 - 70 and touched down perfect.
Gene Pagett at Marion, NC help get my trim working. It makes landings a
lot
easier if the plane is trim correctly. Thanks to Kim for the reference.
I do still require some work on getting the nose to drop completely after
landing,
so I can dump the lift.
