Hi Gang, Hope this gets out. ever since I changed servers, I have been having trouble getting on the coupers net again.
I have just been informed by Lee at Skyport that a couple of the ideas I put out to the coupers net have been included in this months Coupe Capers (which I don't get). Trouble is, they included one big missprint or error that could cause some woe to anyone who follows it. I'm referring to the correction for AD 54-26-02. The one where you have to get down on your head under the dash during your annual to remove the quadrant at the top of the steering post, inspect the cables connecting the chain for wear and then put the whole thing back together again making sure all the links are on the sprockets right so your wheels will be correctly aligned etc. etc. add headache etc. Found out and mentioned here about a month or so ago that if quadrant P/N 415-52130 is replaced with P/N 415-52137 this inspection is no longer required. According to Skyport, Coupe Capers said P/N 52130 was the new quadrant number. This was probably just a missprint, but beware!!! Remember the AD inspection requirement can only be eliminated if P/N 415-52137 is clearly marked on your quadrant. Dan N93775
