Learned to fly in a Tripacer, Most of my time is in a Cherokee, when I bought my Coupe last Dec it was very easy to adjust to it is about the same as the tripacer or cherokee maybe just a little faster sink rate if you get too slow. I think planes like the coupe or tripacer ride better in rough air. The other half (Cessna pilots) tell me the difference between the tripacer and the Ercoupe is the tripacer glides like a brick and the coupe glides like a piano. I tell them when I am on final and the controller asks me to expedite my landing because I am being followed by a 727 I can at least get on the ground and stay there try making a high speed landing in a 172.
