"Once in a lifetime opportunity" is really appropriate this time. The
Battleship Missouri is coming to Astoria, Oregon, before being towed to
Pearl Harbor. Sh will be open to tours while shedding her barnacles
there, and we want aerial pictures. The "Big Mo" is due in Tuesday, May
26, for a one-week stay.

I'm going to take a half day of vacation for this. The NW Oregon weather
has been crummy (5th wettest May on record), so we are going to fly when
we can. It is around a hundred miles from Pearson to Astoria, so full
fuel tanks should do the mission. Alternates are AST and Kelso-Longview.

Normally we would wait for the weekend, but the weather says "NO." Are
there any other takers? An Ercoupe Salute would be real nice ...

This is Saturday, the 23rd of May. I'd like to pick a date for this by
Monday evening (Memorial Day), the 25th. By then, the weather people
should be giving an accurate forcast for the rest of the week. Right!
Anyway, I'd be happy for dialog from those who would like to participate.
