I have been following the list for a few weeks now and I like what I saw at first, I was invited to a fly in at Independence Oregon and dropped in and met a few coupers, and learned a lot about coupes that even I didn't know.
The traffic on the list seem to have ground down to a power struggle (I cold be wrong). I would hate to see this happen, I dropped out of Civil Air Patrol after 25 Years just because of crud like this. It seem that all of the really good people get tired of the Junior high actions of a few and move on. They are not interested in any kind of power struggle, they just want to belong to a successful and fun group. That said, here is some information about me I own N2273H it is a 1946 that has had MANY mods done and is now a "D" with a 0-200 in her. I have owned a T-41 and have many hours in a Yankee AA-1. I bought the Coupe because it was cheap. I have discovered quite by accident that owning a Ercoupe is special. Every time I land some where people want to know "how the heck" it works with out peddles, or they have a great story to tell about the Coupe. I have had a number of older guys (I am 40) ask to just sit in my coupe, and I ALWAYS let them, and funny thing you can see in there eyes reflections of flights completed years ago. I plan on using the Coupe in the young Eagles program, and hope to share the gift of flight with as many young people as possible. It would be great to drop the petty bickering and move ahead to something positive. Information about adding a split elevator was very helpful... who knows I might like to give that mod a try. The information on the corrosion in the wings talked about a few weeks ago was also interesting. Locating fly in's need I say - Always good!!! Any way I have rambled long enough for this message. >From the Desk of Ron Burke JupiterCity.com http://www.jupitercity.com/rburke
