Howdy, Ken. It does make some difference on which antenna the comm radio is hooked to. VORs operate on 108 to 117.99 Meg Hz. The VHF aircraft comm band is just above - 118 to 130 or so. Strange that the GPS would interfier, but since it is microprocessor operated, and they run in the hundred MHz range, that could be your problem. At the EAA meeting last month, the local GPS dealer shared with us that the cheaper (non-TOS'ed) ones had plastic front and other sides that leaked RMF. Try turning GPS or radio around? But that would probably make `em hard to see to operate ...
