Coupers:

Want to let everyone know that the Western Carolina Aviation Museum will
be havings a Wings and Wheels Weekend, May 2 - 3, 1998. It will be
from 10:30 to 6:00 on both days.

The event will be for both vintage planes and cars. With displays
of similar year model planes and cars.

They have several nice displays now. Including a Stearman,
several J-2 - J-5 cubs, and their primary show stopped - a
Ercoupe. (Had my frist coupe time in this one). Lots of
war stores to be told, (One guy at the field has had a
coupe in the family since 1946.)

The fly-in will be at the Hendersonville, NC airport. Its located
a little southeast of Asheville, NC. The airport has both a
grass and a paved strip. The grass strip is in front of the
hanger, the paved strip requires a taxi across the field.

Should be lots of old cars and planes. I plan to get mine there
for the Sunday event, (Got to work Saturday). Like to see some
other coupes there.

The WNCMA has a nice display of aircraft, one coupe. All are flown
on a regular bases. Not just a bunch of static displays.

Hope to see some of ya'll around. I think the WNCAM has a web
page. Don't remember the address for it. Will try and locate
and let everyone know.

Jack.
