Coupers: I seen a coupe yesterday near Knoxville, TN and wanted to see if the owner was on the list.
I was driving down I-75 South from Knoxville. Saw a wind
sock over a old shed and looked over. Gayle, the wife, said
theres a coupe down there. Well needless to say, I was on the
trail. After finding a exit, we went back to a grass strip
that ran alone I-75. Under a shed was a 415-C, SN 410 and
a N87?27, (sorry could not remember all the number).
Was very much orginal. Had the glove boxes in the panel.
Not radios, that I could see. Did have, what appeared to
be, larger tires. May be the orginal type, (don't know
what they looked like, new at coupes and all).
The guy cutting the grass said the coupe had been
flown once in about the last year or so.
Though the owner may be on the list.
