Not having the extra hoses (required on a firewall mount for airwolf and ADC) is a major consideration I think. They would have to filter MUCH better to justify the possibility of a failure as well as taking up extra space. As for cooling, my oil temp runs cool already. I rarely use more than 1 to 1.5 quarts between changes unless I am doing lots of landing practice. But I find that changing the oil with the little screen crammed
in the back is less than appealing to me (4 thumbs). I would rather change my oil more often then recommended but generally don't. Its time to change again so I think I should get a spin on. I think the hoses answer my question. But if anyone else has experience, please pass it on. Thanks. Re the use of a Manifold pressure gauge. I don't have one and quite frankly, don't understand the purpose. Is it beneficial for flying hither and yond, or is it primarily applicable to high and long distance? Why doesn't the coupe and 150 have them as standard equipment? (I can probably come up with several other questions that every student pilot already knows, but I've forgotten a lot since I first flew and somethings I never learned--you'll just have to put up with me! and don't tell me that the only stupid question is the one that isn't asked--I get that a lot when I ask stupid questions--haha) Thanks, again.
