Howdy, Pete. Regarding attachments. It is kinda hard, as every one does not have the same equipment. Our Ercoupes are more alike than our computers! I have two - a `386 with MS\DOS 4 and a Pentium running Windows NT.
Only the NT machine does attachments. I use a freeware program (demo model, actually) called Eudora Lite. It allows picking out attachments. And it can vector them to the relevent MS product - Word, Note Pad, Photo Impact for pictures. Another format that gives troubles is MIME. The `386 does not do that at all. When dealing with various equipment, it pays to use the lowest common form. Your point about the .txt files is well taken. As is your point on the .gif pictures. I'm looking at another processor for my scanner that will do .gif. Photo Impact does not seem to have that available. .gif is the smallest common graphics format. .jpg is larger, and .bmp (bit mapped) is HUGE! Avoid the latter. Coupers Mailing List - I know this is slightly off topic. I just felt a minor discussion of these points would make the Internet Experience more gratifying for all of us. Percy [EMAIL PROTECTED] BTW - no Elma for me today - Rain!
