It all depends on how handy you are and if you have your A&P.  Oops -
politically incorrect - Aviation technician repair liscence.  It is cold
up here in Portland, Oregon, and I just don't like working there in.

Parts can be a problem - both cost and availability wise.  And your body
can ware out while you are restoring your plane.

But money can be the dominant factor.
