My Gasolator looks like glass but feels like a hard plastic. I too like
to see the fuel in it.
I've never noticed any water in it, but that is one of my pre-flight
checks. If the one in others
planes are glass I would sure see if a hard plastic could replace the
glass. Maybe the plastic
will break just as easily as a glass one, but a glass of fuel in the
engine compartment is
disconcerning to me. A fly an Alon. Does anyone know whether or not the
gasolator on the Alon is
really plastic as I think it is, or is it glass?

I get to Lee's Summitt, Missouri, from time to time and I have noticed a
Forney there in a hanger
and I heard it was a recent purchase for the current owner. Is the owner
one of the group? If
not, are there any other Lee's Summitt coupers on line? Would like to
hear from you.
