I have the Alon with only about 18-24 inches available behind the seats. Nice hat/headphone rack, but lots of empty unaccessable space below. I too have been told that it doesn't do any good to extend the baggage area because of the weight & balance limitations imposed if you use the space. I would be courious to know whether the space could at lease be used for the encoder and strobe power supplies that I hope to add. Does any one else do that either with the Alon or Ercoupe?
