Dale: You expressed interest in the Mooney Cadet. There is a real beauty in the GA tie-downs at Morristown, New Jersey (MMU). I've never seen it fly, but from the looks of it, it probably gets its share of attention.
It's actually the first Cadet I've seen live and in person. No
surprise, since there were less than 40 built. It's okay looking,
but the Mooney tail doesn't harmonize as well with the rest
of the design. It sort of looks like a 'graft.' Probably
because it is square-ish, and because the horizontal stab
is squared off. There isn't much square on an Ercoupe, so
the tailfeathers look out of place. At least to my eye.
