Hello Coupers: I just got surscriped. This is the type of group I've been looking for.
I've got a 1946 415-C, metal wings, rudder petals and a C-75
engine. I've talked to the folks at Contenital about uping
to a C-85. They said that all I need to do is compare the
parts list for the two and change all to C-85. If that is
so then all changes are in the carburator. Has anyone out
there done this? Could use some advice.
Also went up today in 34 degree weather. Lost all power.
Managed to get back, had to use carb heat all the way in.
Now will not run above idle without carb heat. Can not
get full power. Has this every happen to anyone else, suggestions.
Take care. Have enjoyed today, reading the messages. I'm new
to coupes, 4 months, but am loving every minute.
