The Continental O-200 is 100 HP(I *think* it's the same engine as a Cessna 152.).
The Forneys and Alon's have 90HP. It makes a really big difference (although I don't have raw numbers) the coupe I went up in with the O-200 definitely was more spritely then the 85HP I flew before (which climbed sluggishly with 2 adults in _wintertime_!) It seemed like it was getting up to 1000 FPM climb after takeoff, and needed very little runway length to get to liftoff speed. I'll tell you more when I get it! <Grin> There is an STC for modifing any 415D or >...but you need to replace your engine so it's kinda pricey, unless of course you are rebuilding the plane anyways! Another good thing about it is that it has all of the valves etc for burning 100LL without fouling (or so I'm told) while still being able to burn mogas and 80. -Tom -----Original Message----- From: Jack Gocha <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Date: Sunday, December 14, 1997 3:52 PM Subject: Re: Let's introduce ourselves! >Hi Tom >At 03:11 PM 12/14/97 -0500, you wrote: >Unfortunately, the restoration won't be done until Jan, so I'm eagerly >waiting for my christmas present! > >Tom >************************************************************************ >Congratulations on the late Christmas present.
