produces a superior finish comparable to none. I would be concerned about the
weight if anything at all but I'll imagine it is comparable to other
finishes. The multi million dollar Americas Cup boats use it and they have
DEEP pockets. So just because it hasn't been done (or at least not talked
about) doesn't mean it's not a good idea. Van himself re-designed a stits
playboy to start the whole train in motion. Remember that tall guy named Fred
who wanted to design a (get this) Rudder Pedal-less 2 control "that you drive
like a car" airplane?
On a similar note ... the RV guys were just recently wondering about flying
an RV8 with the canopy removed ALA Ercoupe style. Conclusion: they might have
to keep it at a "slow" 130 or so. <g>
