Yes, but imagine how few new planes there are being made. It is not an ongoing thing. The Ercoupe is not much removed from the new Zenith they are making or most of the other new planes. It was simply ahead of its time. What will take its place in another 30 or 40 years? Not that goofy impractical flying rotor suit NASA is pushing. I am afraid it is downhill for aviation like the Ercoupe. That is why people ought to stop putting it off and enjoy it while they still can.
