I agree with you Leslie. If the whole aircraft world closed down, we'd
have to
do like Wilber, Orville and so many others did about a hundred years ago,
back
to the drawing boards and build something that would get us 'off the
ground'.
    Like the old saying, "where there's a will, there's a way".  A
homemade
'whachamacallit' and a neighbors pasture and we'd soon be up there again.
At
least some of us would.  It may not be as sophisticated as a current
'bottom-end' ultra-light, but I'll bet I could design something that would
clear
ol' terra firma long enough to get me airborn.    ; - )
