You may rebuild it to new limits but you aren't going to be able to call
it
zero time no matter what. It will go in the book as major overhaul and 0
SMOH but the total time stays with it as do the old logbooks. I have seen
a
couple of shops like Victor that confuse the thing by using the phrases
like
"zero time condition" in the brochure and then they put in the fine print
at
the bottom that they don't mean it as an official thing. I think the
criterion for "zero time" engine is simply that it has to be done by the
factory to be "zero time," ie there is no time since major overhaul but
just
0 time with new logbooks and no info before that. There is also a phrase
besides overhaul for this, like remanufactured or something, I can't
recall
as there are 3 or 4 different option. It is no difference really. Glen
