Since we've discussed dimple tape, less try one more attempt for speed.

Does anyone have any experience with putting a ceramic coating on the
exhaust system. The coating is to act as a insulator.

You obtain - from what has been published - two items:

First a lower engine temperature. This is due to the heat from the exhaust
being discharge out the stacks instead of staying under the cowl.

Second a faster speed. This is due two reasons:
The higher exhaust gases, they can't cool in the insulated pipes, flow
out the pipes faster.
The cool temperature under the cowling does not lean the mixture due
to
the heat of the intake tubes.

A secondary benefit, by those who know, is that the exhaust will not rust.

That's the sales pitch and my understanding of it. Anyone got any know how
on this?

Jack
