Let me second what Hank told you...... Cause I am the fellow 'couper
that went to the Austin to get checked out. Good folks...... VERY
good instruction. I felt like I was getting the royal treatment.
AIG required that I get 5 hours of dual before soloing in my 'coupe.
Couldn't find anyone in the Waco area except folks that said "Well,
I've got 50 billion hours in Cessnas... I can fly that thing........"
until I told them it didn't have rudder pedals. Then they never got
back with me to start the instruction.
I wish you good luck in finding an instructor in the Houston
area. If that doesn't pan out, I think you'll find the trip to the
Austin area very well worth it!

Newly checked out Ercoupe pilot
