Great answer, Warren.  It's hard to tell from their message, but I think
they might be talking about two
separate planes -- a Forney and a 415-C.

For the museum, the best place to find photos of the any model's original
paint schemes would be in the
flying magazines of those years.

I'd suggest they go to a nearby city and go through the aviation magazines
and I guarantee they'll find
the photos they need for the models of that year.  Coupes have always had
articles in the magazines.

Forney, according to my source, started making planes, with serial number
5600, in 1958.

On the other hand, if the plane really is an original 415-G, serial number
5015-5081 (some "E" models in
that range), then they should look in the 1949-1950 magazines for those
were the 415-G production years.

(Serial numbers 5082 through 5599 were not used.)
