I feel like I'm getting younger, regardless of how I look. :-) My
enthusiam for and excitement about flying is kid-like in some ways.
Except that I'm not on to a new thing in 10 minutes. My enthusiasm is
sustained. And when I have a particularly good lesson or ride, I don't
stop grinning for hours afterwards.

Last night my friend Jim was telling me about a company who, for a large
pricetag, will let one experience flying a tandem P-51. The more Jim
talked about it the happier I got to feeling and the faster my heart went.
Jim is very good at describing things, especially anything to do with
flying. As he talked, I swear I could hear that Merlin engine. You need
to understand that the P-51 and the B-17 were the first airplanes I fell
in love with when I intially became interested in planes a number of years
ago. A few people have accused me of being unsophisticated or ordinary
for being so fond of those 2 planes rather than the more exotic/rarer
aircraft of WWII. That's OK, maybe I am unsophisticated. Regardless,
those two beauties hold a special place in my heart - and I do like the
others too!

That does explain the weird numbers that showed up in my last blood panel.
I'll clue in my doctor. He's been worried. :-)

Oh, absolutely. One week without flying is about my maximum. After that
I become increasingly antsy, mumble to myself a lot, and tend to stumble
when I'm walking because I'm gawking at the sky so much. I'd never been
in a small plane until my intro lesson last year and now I can't go more
than a week without missing it terribly. This is so addictive! I
couldn't have possibly guessed...

Glad you're on the road to recovery.

Outstanding! I can just imagine you two.

Cheers,
Spook
