advice in this forum.]----

My previous Coupe had a C-85 and this one has an 0-200 in it.
The only con I can think of is the 0-200 uses a bit more fuel.

I have a better rate of climb, a 60 amp alternator, key start,
engine mounted vacuum pump which eliminates venturis.
The STC requires an electric fuel pump. This eliminates
the sometimes troublesome mechanical pump. Parts
are more readily available, this includes complete used
engines.

In my opinion, if a person were faced with needing a
complete overhaul of a C-85, and could locate a firewall
forward from a Cessna 150, the 0-200 would be a very viable
option.

In addition to the STC, you would need the 0-200, a matching
prop, regulator and plumbing for the vacuum system, regulator
for the alternator if so equipped, electric fuel pump. Lord engine
mounts, modifications to the cowl, etc.

So if a person were considering an 0-200 just for the additional
horsepower, those ponies would be fairly costly. However if
you had a runout C-85 to sell for a core and could find an 0-200
firewall forward with some decent time left then it wouldn't be too
costly.

Just my opinion.

Cheers:
