Hi Lynn. It occurred to me that using the existing diagonals would be preferable as long as the seats and seat-latch handle cleared the top of the spar web. I guess access to the baggage compartment would be by tilting the seat-back forward, although I have yet to see the large baggage mod (I'll talk to Lee tomorrow). More questions to follow (no doubt). Check out the 337s on ercoupers.com. because I think that Tom posted a copy of our 337 for the seat modification. We added significant structure between the front spar and frame D. We used a Z flange on frame D to support the front of the baggage compartment and the rear of the floor for the seats. If I did it over again, I would put the floor on the existing seat V channels, and make a tunnel for the elevator cable to go through. This will lower the seats about 2 inches from where we put them. They slide about 5 inches on the rails, and provide extra leg room as well as being more comfortable to ride in than the Coupe seat. We did 9000 miles in 45 days and had a blast.
