Thanks for the good words. The landing fairings are my
design.They're just made from a cardboard pattern that I cut until it
looked right and fitted in place using the original mounting holes. The
exhausts are made of copper pipe elbows brazed to a steel flange and
bolted through the cowling. Just as a matter of interest, I am now
working on the infamous Ercoupe carb ice problem. I am tired of it
pooping out in cruise, which carb heat always cures. I am just waiting
for a carb ice gauge, but I think I have designed the final cure for
this serious problem. If I'm succesful I'll share it with all. If I'm
not, send flowers.
